Deepika Padukone is an famous Indian actress and also a former model. She appears as well as Kannada and Tamil language films but mostly in Hindi films. Though her father Prakash Padukone was a Badminton player, Deepika chose to become an actress instead of built a career in sports. Deepika made her acting debut with a Kannada film named "Aishwarya" in 2006. She has made her debut in Hindi film with the blockbuster movie "Om Shanti Om" opposite to Shah Rukh Khan, which has earned her the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award in 2007. So far "Om Shanti Om" also remains her biggest commercial success. She earned a Filmfare nomination in the Best Actress category for "Love Aaj Kal" in 2009 opposite to Saif Ali Khan. She also acted in the movie named "Housefull" in 2010 which emerged as a commercial success. Deepika is also the ambassador of prominent brands such as Kingfisher Airlines, Nescafe, Sony Cybershot and Tissot.
